Best Apps for 2021

by | Jan 7, 2021

With the new year upon us, it is time to get things in order. Whether it be our finances, our general loves, or our fitness, we must try. What better way to get started than with some helpful apps? Here you will find a list of helpful apps and why they are great.

Let us start with ourselves and becoming better mentally and emotionally. First, we have Happify. This app helps you overcome negative thoughts, stress, and life’s challenges with a hint of a cheerful attitude. Next up is SupperBetter. This app aims to help people build up the ability to stay strong and positive despite the challenges life throws your way. A popular choice is HeadSpace- your guide to happiness and health using meditation and exercise. This app has multiple forms of meditation for every mood and need be it sleep or stress. Moodkit is next on our list of helpful apps. This app tracks your mood and asses them through journaling. It is like having a psychologist in your pocket.

After working on our mental health, why not consider our physical health too. MyFitnessPal is a free online calorie counter and meal planner to help you stick to your weight loss goals. Combined with Nike Training Club, you would be unstoppable. Nike Training Club has almost 100 free workouts ranging from bodyweight workouts to yoga. They even have targeted training programs.

We will look into bettering ourselves outside the mind and body. The perfect app to start with is QuitNow! Quit smoking this year with this helpful app that has real people who quit smoking available to talk to at any time. What better way to start the year than with a new job? Glassdoor is a website where current and former employees anonymously review companies. Glassdoor also allows users to anonymously submit and view salaries as well as search and apply for jobs on its platform. With a new job you may want to better yourself and learn a new language. Duolingo is a great language learning tool and is great for even the busiest person. You can set timed goals for as little as 15 minutes. If you are worried you may not have time or the ability to focus that long, try Noisli. You can mix different sounds to create your ideal workplace to study, work, and even relax.

Now that we have covered ourselves, let us move to our finances. We need all the help we can get! Ranging from an assistant to a discount app, we have it all here. First up is TrueBill, the app that is like your personal budget assistant. Truebill helps you save money on your monthly bills by reaching out to companies and getting you a lower rate. Next up we have Didget. Didget looks at the amount of money you have in your account, what you normally spend, and estimates how much you could live without and pulls that amount into a savings account. If you have an issue and need extra funds, Didget automatically transfers money into your low account. Another great money saving app is Qapital. This app helps you save effortlessly, spend guilt free, and stretch your money like you never thought you could. This app sets goals and rules to keep you in line with your savings goals. You can even team up with others to save together. Last but not least is Skyscanner. A travel app for cheapest flights, information on accommodations and without any hidden charges! Travelling can seem daunting and expensive but not with Skyscanner! You get the cheapest flights available, even hotels and car rentals are compared.

With all these helpful apps, how can we not stay on track this year?
